YOUTHpreneur Business Workshops - 4 week course

We welcome youth from ages 8-14 to partake in a 4 week entrepreneur course for potential entrepreneurs and even the experienced ones. Each session will unleash the youthpreneur entrepreneurial spirit, cultivate the mindset of business, and reassure leaders of the future. Youth business workshops will be conducted at the American Jazz Museum every Wednesday in September from 5:30p - 6:30p.

Workshop details:

Wednesday, Sept., 5th - Week 1 
In today's business environment, youth entrepreneurship is on the rise. Learn about business development with Rick Usher, the Assistant City Manager for Small Business and Entrepreneurship. The 4 Ps of Business - Presentation Needs with Karen E. Griffin (Bring Digital Device).

Wednesday, Sept., 12th - Week 2
This session will cover the core concepts of money management and teach you how to: Set Goals - Build a Budget - Save Money. Money management is the process of knowing where you are spending your money today and having a well-thought-out plan in place for where you want it to go in the future with Tovah Tanner, Entrepreneur & Founder of Royale Cohesive Network.

Wednesday, Sept., 19th - Week 3
This session will explore innovative ways to take your business to the next level by incorporating simple suggestions from Brand Coach, Detria Conley with The Porter House KC.

Wednesday, Sept., 26th - Week 4 
You know your idea inside and out. But to pitch it effectively to others you need to look at the big picture and understand your product through someone else’s eyes. The perfect elevator pitch is one that’s crafted for an audience. Lesson plan with Rebecca Dove, Innovative Officer with Pennez.

Wednesday, October 10th - Workshop Completion
Showcase what you’ve learned by presenting to facilitators, sponsors, friends and family. We welcome all those who are interested in our Nonprofit to take part in viewing this exhibition of what we set out to be, remarkable outcomes. 

This 4 week course fee is $40.00
All participates that complete the course will receive:

✅ Certificate of Completion

✅ Waived booth fee for our “Youth Entrepreneur Day” vendor event that will be held on Saturday, October 20th from 10-12:30p at the American Jazz Museum 

✅ Applicable to apply for a Youth Advisory Board member position with Royale Cohesive Network Nonprofit organization

✅ Invitation to be apart of the Global Entrepreneur Week youth panel discussion - November 2018
